NOW Sun-E 400
An antioxidant for the maintenance of good health. Sunflower seeds are treasure troves of nutrition. They’re rich in the polyunsaturated fatty acids linoleic and oleic acid, which support cardiovascular health, and they contain a good amount of protein- providing amino acids. You’ll find a wealth of phenolic compounds in sunflower seeds, including chlorogenic acids (also found in green coffee beans), quinic acid, caffeic acid, and more. Sunflower seeds are an excellent source of a variety of minerals including calcium, iron, magnesium, manganese, selenium, and zinc. The seeds also contain B complex vitamins, and they’re an excellent source of natural Vitamin E. For many Canadians, daily vitamin E intake from food is primarily in the form of gamma-tocopherol from vegetable oils such as corn, canola, and soybean. Corn and soy are the primary dietary sources of vitamin E most of us are familiar with, but these sources are usually from genetically modified crops, or are highly allergenic. Sunflowers are not genetically modified, making them a highly-desirable source of identity-preserved, non-GMO Vitamin E, and they’re the source of our newest Vitamin E supplement – Sun-E™ 400 Softgels.
NOW Sun-E™ 400 is a soy-free, natural Vitamin E derived from Identity Preserved (IP), Non-GMO Sunflower Seed Oil. Vitamin E is a major antioxidant and the body’s primary defense against lipid peroxidation. It’s particularly important for protection against cellular free radicals causing oxidative damage. These protective benefits are achievable with supplemental intakes higher than what is normally consumed in the average diet. Now one can avoid corn or soy-based Vitamin E sources.
